Welcome To The Park District
At The Senior Center

Welcome to the Arlington Heights Park District Program for Active Adults located in the Arlington Heights Senior Center at 1801 W. Central Road near the intersection of Central and Wilke in Arlington Heights.

Our goal is to fill your retirement years with fitness and fun! Whether you are fully-retired, semi-retired, or still working, the Park District Active Adult Program at the Senior Center has something for everyone.

The Park District offers a wide variety of affordable leisure and recreation activities such as special events, classes, and trips. The Park District operates the Wood Shop, the Arlington Classic Tour Club, the Gift Store, the Arlington Athletic Club, the Dance and Fitness Studio and the Art Studio.

Our Registration Office is in our Gift Store.
Our Summer Hours:
     Monday, 8:30 am-4 pm
     Tuesday, 8:30 am-4 pm
     Wednesday, 8:30 am-4 pm
     Thursday, 8:30 am-4 pm
     Friday, 8:30 am-4 pm

In the Fall we will resume our Saturday hours.

In addition to the Park District, seven agencies combine to produce a broad assortment of programming and services in the facility. They include the Arlington Heights Memorial Library, Catholic Charities Northwest Senior Services, Community Nutrition Network, Escorted Transportation Service Northwest, Arlington Heights Nurses Club, Northwest Community Hospital, and the Village of Arlington Heights.

The Senior Center earned official status of National Accreditation in 2008 by meeting standards and adhering to policies/procedures of the National Institute of Senior Centers. Tours of the building are offered every Wednesday at 10 am.
