Maryfran H. Leno, President
Term Expires 2009

Maryfran H. Leno is serving her second four-year term on the Arlington Heights Park District Board. She is a life-long resident of Arlington and met her husband, Carl, in 1987 when both were lifeguards at the Park District pools. The Lenos have five children and are active members of St. James School and Parish. Maryfran is Executive Director of the Itasca Park District and an active member of the following organizations: Illinois Association of Park Districts (IAPD), Illinois Park and Recreation Association (IPRA), Suburban Park and Recreation Association (SPRA), National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) and others.

Robert Nesvacil
Term Expires 2011

Robert Nesvacil lives in the Pioneer Park area with wife Carol and daughter Clara Rose and new son Zachary. Rob is a graphic designer and a graduate of the University of Illinois/Champaign. An avid gardener, Rob is interested in backyard organic vegetable and perennial gardening.

"I believe we have a wonderful park district - with a wide variety of recreation activities and park settings. My goal as commissioner is to continue improving our strong history and to listen and work with park users and staff to keep the District at its best in a cost-efficient manner," Nesvacil said.

     
     


Myles A. Naughton
Term Expires 2011

Myles Naughton was elected as a Park Board Commissioner in April 2007 and is serving his first four-year term. He lives in the Pioneer Park area with his wife, Nancy, and their four daughters. Myles has been active coaching many of his children’s athletic endeavors and he also serves as a volunteer with the Arlington Heights Youth Athletic Association. He enjoys playing basketball and softball, when time permits. Professionally, Myles works in the telecom industry, specializing in wireless technology and has a Mechanical Engineering degree from Marquette University.

 Robert Smith


Robert Smith

An Arlington Heights Park District resident for 20 years, Robert Smith lives in the Heritage Park neighborhood with wife, Terry and their four children. He's a financial planner with Lincoln Financial Advisors and a member of the CFA Institute and the Investment Analysts Society of Chicago. He was appointed to the Illinois Association of Park Districts' Board as sergeant-at-arms in 2004 and as a trustee in 2005. In his nine years on the Park District Board, he has served two terms as vice-president and two as president.

     
     


Robert Whisler
Term Expires 2009

Robert Whisler is a life-long resident of Arlington Heights. He grew up in the Recreation Park neighborhood and currently lives near Frontier Park. He's a partner, with his father, in Brian Properties, Inc. Realtors and has served on several elected boards, most recently the Northwest Association of Realtors-he was president in 1998 and was named "Realtor of Year" in 1999.

His volunteer experience includes nine years on the Lattof YMCA Board and membership in the Arlington Heights Rotary Club.

Whisler is president of the Arlington Baseball Boosters, Inc.--the fundraising corporation for the Arlington Heights American Legion Baseball Team. As a high school student, Bob played with the Legion team, and for the past 20 years has been the team's coach.
