Memorial Park

Honor that special person or occasion with the Park District's Living Memorial program. You can choose from a selection of shade trees, ornamental trees or evergreens, and with a $395* donation, purchase a tree in a selected park. An engraved name plate is also displayed on a plaque at the Administration Center.

Orders are accepted throughout the year, but will be placed with the nursery once in early spring and once in early fall based on tree establishment and growth success patterns (i.e. evergreens do best when planted in the spring). Plantings are dependent upon weather.

Please note: The Arlington Heights Park District will be responsible for warranty of your memorial tree for a maximum of four years after planning.

To maintain the ambience of downtown Arlington Heights, paving bricks are used for the walkways through North School Park. Residents and businesses of Arlington Heights have contributed to the park by purchasing engraved bricks which are placed in the walkways. This Buy-A-Brick program gives people the opportunity to show family trees, propose marriage, honor a loved one, and celebrate anniversaries, among other things.
 

Buy-A-Brick Options
Recognition in the walkway will be given to donations in the following categories for a 4" x 8" brick paver. Only 13 characters and spaces per line. Three lines maximum per brick.

An individual or not-for-profit group may donate: $100*  per brick
A business or corporation may donate: $170* per brick

All donations are tax deductible.

Orders are accepted throughout the year, but will be placed with the engraver on February 1 and August 1. Installlation of the bricks is dependent upon the weather, but will be expected in early summer and mid-fall respectively. Due to the paving pattern, bricks can only be grouped in pairs.

We now offer attractive travel gift certificates in all denominations for our one-day tour program. Give a special gift to the person who doesn't need any "thing", but might like to spend an enjoyable day visiting interesting locations. A gift of travel is a great way to say, "I care."

Gift certificates are also available for gift shop merchandise and Park District senior programs and special events.
