Jobs

Come work with us!

The Arlington Heights Park District is one of the largest park districts in Illinois and we offer a variety of full-time, part-time and summer jobs. We’re an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to a diverse workforce. All positions are governed by Park District Operating and Employment Policies and Procedures. All potential employees must successfully complete the required background checks as a condition of employment.

Motivated, enthusiastic and people-oriented individuals are encouraged to apply for employment. Jobs for 14-year-olds are limited to soccer referees and jobs for 15-year-olds are limited to soccer referees and lifeguard/swim instructors.  Applicants under age 16 must be able to provide a valid work permit prior to their first day of work.

Regrettably, the Arlington Heights Park District is not currently accepting applications for Aquatics positions for the summer of 2009. We have already received several hundred applications for our aquatics positions and are in the process of determining our staffing needs. If we find that we will have openings for any Aquatic positions, the jobs will be reposted later this winter or early spring.

Online Job Application -  View Job Postings

The Arlington Heights Park District strictly adheres to an online job application process. If you are interested in applying for employment, you must complete the online job application. Once you submit your online job application, it will be available for review by the supervisors who are hiring for their open positions. Please note that resumes and letters of recommendation can be uploaded during the online job application process. We keep all online job applications for one year after completion.

We receive hundreds of applications annually and regret that each season, a limited number of positions are available. After submitting your online job application, you will be sent an email message confirming the successful submission of your application. Please note you will be contacted for an interview only if you're being considered for a specific position.
