Internship OpportunitiesProgram Description:The Arlington Heights Park District offers internships for university students majoring in Parks & Recreation. This program is designed to provide the intern with first hand knowledge and understanding of public recreation agencies and the structure and forces that affect them. Students will be provided the opportunity to integrate and apply knowledge, theory and understanding from the academic setting to the working environment. Internship Activities:Interns are allowed to witness and assist in many of the different job aspects that public recreation agencies provide and will work with and for different supervisory staff during their internship. Specific areas the internship will focus on are:
Internship Qualifications:Junior or senior Parks and Recreation students who are recommended for an internship by the student's university. Application Information:Please submit a letter of application along with your resume and a letter of recommendation from your university.
