Frontier Park
The scope of work for the 2013 playground renovations involves furnishing all of the required labor, materials, equipment, implements, parts and supplies necessary for provision and installation of Frontier Park Playground. Frontier Park playground is a part of our capital improvement plan and will be bid out as a part of the first phase (1A) of the Frontier Park Master Plan and is estimated for completion in Summer 2013, pending Park Board approval.
Two community meetings took place December-February 2012 seeking input regarding the playground renovationsplanned at Frontier Park. Notifications were sent to park residents via mailings, signage, press release, and website. After receiving input on the playground equipment preferences and design plans, the equipment vendor for Frontier Park has been selected (see initial equipment design).
Falcon and Volz Park Playgrounds
Community Input Meetings
- The initial meeting will focus on the various playground equipment elements for the Park Playground.
- The second meeting will focus on identifying the new playground equipment design plans for the Park Playground.
Meeting Locations
- Falcon Park playground meetings will be held at Forest View Racquet and Fitness Club (800 E. Falcon Dr.) on February 19th and March 5th at 7pm.
- Volz Park playground meetings will be held at Olympic Park Aquatic Center (660 N. Ridge Ave.) on February 20th and March 6th at 7pm.
Please note that the playground improvements for 2013 are subject to Park Board approval.
