Tennis
Looking for great exercise and fun? Tennis provides a great social opportunity and aerobic workout. Our experienced tennis professionals offer progressive programs for beginners to experienced players. Play year-round at one of the Arlington Heights Park District two indoor tennis facilities:
- Forest View Racquet and Fitness Club features six indoor tennis courts, six racquetball courts, a complete fitness facility, aerobics studio, and seven outdoor tennis courts, five of which are lighted.
- Heritage Tennis Club features eight indoor tennis courts, lounge, locker rooms, snack bar, and nursery.
Cultural Arts/Special Events
Cultural Arts programs include dance, drama, art, and music offerings for various age groups. District-wide special events are conducted on a year-round basis. Outdoor summer concerts and several special events are held June through August, in North School Park, with periodic events at other parks.
Seniors
At the Arlington Heights Senior Center, active older adults have the opportunity to exercise, play bridge, participate in a variety of art and/or dance classes, and tour the tri-state region. The Senior Center is a cooperative venture between the Village of Arlington Heights, Park District and six other agencies that provide service to older adult citizens of the community.
Arlington Heights Historical Museum
The Park District Museum program provides a broad spectrum of programs, activities and services relative to the needs and desires of the Arlington Heights community in cooperation with the Village of Arlington Heights, Arlington Heights Memorial Library, and the Arlington Heights Historical Society.
The Park District’s responsibility is to provide operation of comprehensive historical programs and events at the Museum. A full-time administrator coordinates the programs, services, facilities, staff, and volunteers.
