The Park District offers a wide range of arts and crafts programs at various skill levels. So, it doesn't matter whether you are a skilled artist or just a beginner. Our instructors will work with you to help you discover your hidden talents. Classes and workshops are offered during the week, on the weekend and even in the evening.

There are regular classes like knitting, crochet, quilting, watercolor painting, multi-media art, oil painting and woodcarving. In addition to these regular classes there are workshops like custom greeting cards, multi-media art, polymer and dichroic glass jewelry programs just to name a few.

Beginning Quilting

Quilting is easy and fun. Learn the basics of hand-piecing, appliqué and hand quilting. You'll choose from several beginner projects.
