We are looking for a few more players for the U8 Boys Aces Academy teams. Check it out...
Our most popular sport, soccer attracts thousands of players of all ages each season to both the House League and the Travel Soccer programs.
The Arlington Heights Park District and the Arlington Aces Soccer Club provide the framework for children to learn this exciting and rewarding sport while developing individual skills and learning the importance of teamwork.
The recreational program, known as the House League, emphasizes fun and the learning the basics of soccer. While teams play games against other teams within the community, individual team standings are not kept, and sportsmanship, not winning, is stressed. This program has been highly successful and extremely popular, attracting thousands of children every season.
Parents Coach the Arlington Aces Travel Soccer Program providing players who wish to further develop soccer skills a more competitive environment while stressing sportsmanship and fun. As the name suggests, teams in this program travel outside Arlington Heights to compete against teams from other soccer clubs. Practices are generally more frequent and longer than for players in House League and playing time in games is at the discretion of coaches. Teams are coached by volunteer parents that have earned coaching certification (E-license) from the Illinois Youth Soccer Association (IYSA). Team training is conducted once per week by an approved club trainer.
The Arlington Aces Academy Program is an additional component to the AHPD soccer program that is designed not only for players who possess the desire and skill to compete at the highest levels of league and tournament play, but for all playes who seek a unified and consistent approach to total player development. Players will develop by learning skills and strategies at age appropriate levels and benefit from the teaching philosophy of experienced soccer professionals. Academy teams are formed at U8-U18 age groups and are coached and trained by Elite Soccer staff. There may be more than one Academy team in each age group.
Practices occur twice per week with occasional three times per week training. In addition, the teams have a parent volunteer team manager who coordinates the administrative efforts. Elite Soccer staff coaches lead on-the-field responsibilities and work closely with the team manager on administrative duties.
