The Arlington Heights Park District offers a variety of classes for you to get fit. Forest View has plenty of ways for you to get up and get moving.  Our air conditioned fitness and dance studio creates a comfortable environment for participants to bust a move and break a sweat.  Check out the class variety below, and decide which fitness option at Forest View is best for you! 


BeMoved® is a new dance fitness experience designed by Sherry Zunker for adults of all movement abilities. Sherry Zunker is an established Director & Choreographer whose work includes concert dance, musical theater, corporate entertainment, television & film. Sherry's teaching career spans 30 years.

BeMoved® inspires participants to embrace dance as a lifelong means to health, joy, and fulfillment. Classes begin with easy-to-follow therapeutic movements that integrate the upper and lower body. The warm up flows into dance styles inpired by a wide variey or musical genres.

Each week focuses on a different musical and dance style. The drop-in fee is $15 per class or you can purchase a six punch card for $72 at Forest View Racquet & Fitness Club. Call the club at 847-640-2574 for questions.

Fitness Kick-Boxing

Work to achieve the top-notch physical condition of a kick boxer or boxer without the fear of injury. This kick-boxing class combines the basics of punching, kicking, and boxing movement into challenging aerobic routines for a complete muscular and cardiovascular workout.

Mat Pilates

Pilates is a body conditioning class designed to support a variety of fitness goals. Using a series of exercises that target deep postural muscles, Pilates builds strength while improving flexibility, balance and posture. Suitable for all ages and levels. Progression to intermediate class needs teacher permission. Wear comfortable clothing; bring mat and towel.


Piloxing is an exciting, new inter-disciplinary program. Piloxing is a unique blend of Pilates and boxing moves designed to provide a fat torching, muscle sculpting, core centric interval workout. Your body is whipped into shape with a class format that is fun and challenging. The mix of power, speed, and agility of boxing with the sculpting and flexibility of Pilates will provide a workout with the core elements of cardio, strength, and flexibility. This class is appropriate for all fitness levels and ages.

Zumba Fitness

This cutting edge, high-energy fitness system is a distinctive fusion of Latin and International music that combines unique body sculpting and dance steps. The routine features aerobic/fitness interval training with fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body. Now available:  Zumba punch cards $40 for a six pack or $78 for a twelve pack. Walk-ins now welcome $8 per class.

Zumba is a distinctive fusion of Latin and International dance music that combines high energy and motivating music with unique moves and combinations. Not only is Zumba fun, but it is easy to do.
