Swimmers will be on their mark and ready to compete at Recreation Park (500 E. Miner) at the annual City Wide Swim Meet. On July 28, beginning at 7:45am each neighborhood community center will be represented and the Arlington Heights Park District invites you to come out and cheer on your neighborhood participants. This competition will be sure to bring a splash of excitement to your summer.
The teams that will be participating include the Olympic Sharks, the Camelot Crocodiles, the Frontier Flyers, the Pioneer Piranhas, the Heritage Hurricanes, the Recreation Racers, and the Recreation Stingrays. Ribbons will be awarded to swimmers with top 6 times per event (not heat), and first place finishers will receive a medal. The meet will be scored and the winning team will be presented with a "City Meet Champion" banner to proudly display at their pool.
Programs and concessions will be available for spectators. Recreation Park will be splashing with excitement on Saturday, July 28th. Whether you are a spectator, volunteer, or swimmer we hope to see you at the City Wide Swim Meet this summer.
