Arlington Aces Soccer Program Announces Travel Tryout and Innovative Fee Plans

Arlington Heights, IL | Saving time and money can be of utmost concern in these tough economic times. Beginning in May however, families will find more of both when registering for Academy and Volunteer Coached teams in Arlington Heights effective with the Fall 2012/13 season.

Residents and non-residents interested in trying out for the Fall 2012/13 season must pre-register by Monday, May 14th, 2012. There is no cost for pre-registration. Pre-registration is open now and is conveniently available online at www.ahpd.org/soccer. Pre-registrants will receive an informational letter with specific information required to be aware of prior to arrival at their first tryout session.

Complete details including dates, times and locations for the Fall 2012/13 season are now available online here.

“The Arlington Aces commitment to the community is strong and soccer participants are benefitting from that commitment in terms of our fees this year,” said John Robinson, Superintendent of Recreation. “We are pleased to announce that families now have an even easier way to pay registration fees. Families may select to pay via an electronic funds transfer (EFT). Previously, parents were required to pay the full registration fee before the beginning of the season. The new electronic funds transfer option will allow parents to divide their registration payments into monthly installments and they will be able to make those payments without missing a beat,” according to Robinson.

The Park District’s goal is to continue to provide a quality experience at an affordable price. This commitment to the player experience has also dedicated the Arlington Aces to issue a guarantee that registration fees for both the Academy and Volunteer Coached teams will not increase for the next three years.

“The soccer program is our most popular sports program and we are confident the community will continue to appreciate our affordable and convenient services,” said Matt Healy, Athletics Supervisor.

The new fee structure may be a game changer as the affordable fees will go far beyond meeting the needs of residents; the fees may attract players who may not have otherwise considered playing in Arlington Heights over traveling to neighboring communities to play.

“The community has been very supportive of the Arlington Aces, especially since the recent evolution of our program’s training team,” said John Robinson. “The Park District is very fortunate to be in a position to provide options to families that are passionate about supporting their child’s soccer experience. We look forward to continuing to offer Arlington Heights athletes with the highest quality soccer experience as they work towards becoming better individuals on and off the field,” finished Robinson.
