U15 Girls Headed for Regional Championship

After playing 5 games in 5 days in sweltering 90+ degree heat, the Arlington Aces U15 girls team were crowned Presidents Cup Regional Champions this week.  State Presidents Cup Champions of 10 midwest states met near Cincinnati, OH last week to compete for a Regional Championship.  Aces girls were placed in a group with the state champions from Missouri, Ohio-North, and Wisconsin.  After topping the group with a 2-0-1 record, Aces moved on to the semifinals, where they played Ames, the Iowa State Champion.  After winning that game, they moved on to the Regional Championship game against Minnesota Thunder Academy, the only other undefeated team throughout the Regional tournament.  Playing in their 5th game in 5 days, Aces girls put in an inspired performance to secure the Regional Championship with a 1-0 victory.  Over the course of the whole week, Aces girls scored 8 goals, and only conceded 1. 15UAces-Blue

This is a great honor for the Arlington Aces club, and a wonderful testament to the hard work of all of these girls, almost all of whom have been with Aces since they were 9 years old.  It makes a great statement for our player development philosophy, and shows what is possible when coaches, players and families commit to our long term plan to build great players, that eventually become great teams.

We wish our girls the best of luck as they compete for a Presidents Cup National Championship, from July 12-15 in Westfield, IN.  Over this weekend, they will compete with the 3 other Regional Champions for the ultimate honour of being the best in the nation!
