YOU CAN HELP BY DONATING GENTLY USED BACKPACKS, LUGGAGE AND DUFFLE BAGS ACROSS THE COMMUNITY!

SEPTEMBER 5 - OCTOBER 23

WHAT We are Collecting

WHY We are Collecting

We are collecting gently used backpacks, luggage and duffle bags for donation. Gently used bags are described as generally clean, zippers operable, and without holes or extreme wear and tear.

All bags will be donated to JOURNEYS | The Road Home; and Children’s Home & Aid Society.

Collecting bags for both children and adults going through transition can be vitally important. Giving someone a new bag can be the extra boost of confidence needed to travel in public with personal materials. Backpacks, luggage, and due bags can help relieve both physical and mental stress. Help Lift The Load To Carry Confidently.

As a leading social service agency, Children’s Home + Aid serves nearly 40,000 children and families in need each year. It delivers over 70 social service programs throughout 40 Illinois counties. Although it has grown significantly over the years, Children’s Home + Aid remains dedicated to Rev. Will I receive tax write-off receipts when I donate bags to “Cases For A Cause”?

The Cases For A Cause campaign run by the Arlington Heights Park District, which benefits two different donation centers (Children’s Home & Aid & Journey’s: The Road Home), is not legally able to provide tax refund receipts to donors.  To qualify for a tax-write off you will need to donate directly to those donation centers.
