The Arlington Heights Park District invites you to attend a special basketball fundraiser on Tuesday, January 15th in support of Bill Spicer who is bravely battling myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS, formerly known as preleukemia). MDS are a diverse collection of blood-related medical conditions that involve ineffective production of blood cells.
Since 1989 Bill Spicer has been the President of the Arlington Heights Youth Athletic Association (AHYAA) and thanks to Bill’s continuous efforts the relationship between AHYAA and the Arlington Heights Park District has grown largely due to his hard work and dedication.
On Tuesday, January 15 Christian Liberty Academy School is holding a basketball fundraiser in support of Bill and his family as they manage through this challenging time. The fundraiser will be held in the school gymnasium and there will be plenty of games for supporters to enjoy. Entry fee is $5 per person at the door.
We hope to see you on January 15 for athletic fun and entertainment in honor of a great cause.
Come support Bill and his family and share in the spirit of youth sports as Bill has for the community throughout his tenure with the AHYAA. For more information please contact Steve Rowland, CLA Athletic Director at 847-924-7460.
