The Information Technology (IT) Division is responsible for managing computer systems for the Park District. The IT Division establishes and provides support for the Park District’s data, and voice networks including the many hardware and software applications used by employees to meet their communication and information needs. In recent years, the Park District has enhanced customer service delivery using a variety of technology-based systems, which include our IP-based telephone system, free wireless service at 12 Park District facilities, fixed video surveillance cameras, and mobile technology used by employees to improve response time.
Overall, the Information Technology Division serves as technical consultants and provides desktop, network, application and systems management services for all park district departments.
