Picnic in the Park to include bookmobile, Sporty the mascot and chances to win.

 

The Arlington Heights Park District invites you to its annual Picnic in the Park! Don’t miss the Park District's kick-off to summer on Friday, June 8th from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm in North School Park at the corner of Arlington Heights Road and Eastman Street. All activities are free!

New this year – the Arlington Heights Memorial Library Bookmobile will be on-site carrying a wide variety of the latest materials for all ages such as picture books and puzzles. Arlington Heights Park District Preschool, Swim Program and Art Instructors will also be on-site providing fun activities and projects for kids and families.

Pack a picnic or purchase concessions from one of the food vendors. Kids can celebrate the end of school on moonwalks and an inflatable slide, or express their creative side with balloon sculptures and face painting. Guests are encouraged to check out the Park District information booth to pick up fun and free giveaway items.

Learn what the Park District has planned for the summer and enter for a chance to win one of 20 limited edition Arlington Heights Park District folding chairs with a free smoothie and meal compliments of Tropical Smoothies Cafe of Arlington Heights.

Entertainment by Creative Music Play with Scribble Monster, dubbed "the edgiest kids' band on the scene today" will perform from 11:30 am-12:30 pm and in the afternoon attendees will be treated to the harmonies of Chicago's premier a cappella rock n' roll singing group Ac•Rock.
