The Art Institute of Chicago

Breakfast Buffet at The Palmer House
 

The day downtown begins with breakfast brunch at The Palmer House. The menu includes: daily local hot special, smoked fish spread, seasonal selection of hot and cold items, Greek yogurt parfait bar, selection of pastries, seasonal salad, breakfast meats, eggs any style to order, choice of  juice , coffee or tea.

Then we are off to The Art Institute of Chicago, one of the oldest and largest art museums in the United States. With nearly a million square feet, you will be able to self-explore the vast amount of iconic works by artists like: Georges Seurat, Edward Hopper and Pablo Picasso.

Motorcoach departs at 9:15am and returns at approximately 4:00pm.

Once in a lifetime experience to enjoy this ‘suite’ experience. We will watch Celine from our own private suite at the Fiserv Forum. In the comfort of our suite, we will have appetizers and dessert while we enjoy the concert. There are a limited amount of tickets available for this awesome experience.

The Simon & Garfunkel Story
Chicago, IL - Thursday, November 21
 
Mity Nice Bar and Grill, Broadway Playhouse
 

Folk rockers Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel recorded their biggest hits in the 1960s; their final studio album was “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” released in January 1970. The show uses digital projections of old photos and film footage as well as a live band performing songs including “Mrs. Robinson,” “Cecilia,” “Bridge Over Troubled Water” and “Homeward Bound.”

Mity Nice’s family style dinner includes some mighty nice  portions of  Tomato Basil Flatbread, Caesar Salad, Minute Chicken Terri D,  Broiled Lake Superior Whitefish, Roasted Yukon Gold Potatoes and Steamed Broccoli. Chocolate Cupcake, Key Lime Pie or Cheesecake will be served for dessert. Soda, Coffee or Tea are included.

Christmas can mean many things to different people. As we celebrate together, we look back to remember all the songs, hymns and carols that make this a magical time for us all. Sing along with your favorite Holiday Classics: Home for the Holidays, Sleigh Ride, Silver Bells, Mary Did You Know, Little Drummer Boy, White Christmas, Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree, The Christmas Song & more. We look forward each year to another Christmas Remembered! 

Prior to the show the Rosewood Chef will prepare a delicious plated meal. There is an entrée choice of Roasted Citrus Garlic-Crusted Chicken, Pistachio-Crusted Atlantic Salmon, Pan-Roasted Pork Medallions with Apple Cider Glaze or Braised Burgundy Beef Tips. Dessert and a Soft Drink  or Coffee/Tea are also included.

Holiday at Sanfilippo Estate
Barrington, IL - Tuesday, December 10
 
Lunch and Concert
 

Come and see the holiday-decorated, magnificent Sanfilippo Estate, including the dazzling 1890 Eden Palais Carousel and hear Christmas music on the Automatic Music Machines. We will begin at noon with an elegant, seated luncheon in the beautiful Carousel Pavilion. Start off with a salad, then your entrée is a combination of chicken and beef, potato and  vegetables. Iced tea and complimentary red or white wine are included. Finish off your meal with dessert and coffee. Following the luncheon will be a live Organ Holiday Concert in the Sanfilippo residence, featuring Dave Wickerham on the Mighty Wurlitzer Theater Organ. There will be time to enjoy the Sanfilippo collection and view this private home, including the new Paris Passageway.

The Sanfilippo Foundation is holding a Children's toy drive with donations going to military families. You may bring an unwrapped toy (ages 2-16) and drop off when you enter the pavilion. (Toy is not included in tour fee).

Don’t miss Symphony Center's annual holiday spectacular featuring members of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and guest vocalists performing festive favorites. It’s the perfect celebration for the holidays!  Our group has main floor seating for this performance.

Lawry’s traditional lunch includes your entrée choice of Lawry’s famous Prime Rib, Salmon or Vegetarian Dish. Choice of Raspberry English Truffle, Chocolate Layer Cake or New York Style Cheesecake for dessert, and Coffee or Hot/Iced Tea are included.

Illumination at The Morton Arboretum

Illumination will highlight the many gifts of trees natural beauty, increased feelings of peace and calm. Be surrounded by color as you walk a one-mile paved path amid interactive lighting effects that highlight the beauty of trees in winter. Enjoy seasonal music, ever-changing, captivating lighting designs. Enjoy a cozy fire, a snack, (additional charge) or a rest at one of the warming areas along the Illumination path.

Dress appropriately for the weather and walking. Warm shoes or boots with good traction and low heels are recommended. 

Early dinner at StoneWood Ale House with an Entrée choice of Blackened Tilapia Sandwich, Santa Fe Chicken Sandwich topped with Bacon, Swiss Cheese and Guacamole, Bacon Cheeseburger topped with Bacon and Cheddar Cheese, BBQ Burger topped with Sweet BBQ Sauce, Cheddar Cheese and Onion Strings, Mushroom Burger topped with Sautéed Mushrooms and Swiss Cheese, Elvis Burger topped with  Peanut butter, bananas and Bacon.

Mannheim Steamroller
Rosemont, IL - Friday, December 20
 

Chip Davis, founder and creator of Mannheim Steamroller, will celebrate the 35th Anniversary of his annual Christmas concert tour, making it the longest running consecutive concert tour in the entertainment industry!

“I remember when I came out with my first Christmas album in 1984 followed by our first tour. Back then, many in the music industry said focusing on Christmas just wouldn’t work,” said Davis.

Our group has main floor seating for this performance.
