A Tribute to Broadway and Hollywood's Best 

An evening of Grammy, Tony and Academy Award-winning music, including songs from The Lion King, Wicked, The Phantom of the Opera and more, plus tributes to Marvin Hamlisch and John Williams. Featuring conductor Lawrence Loh and the Grant Park Orchestra and Chorus, with Broadway veterans Susan Egan and Doug LaBrecque. Our group has pavilion seating.

Motorcoach departs at 6:00pm and returns at approximately 11:00pm.

Michael Bublé
Rosemont, IL – Saturday, July 20
Dinner at Sweet Baby Ray's and Concert at the Allstate Arena

Michael Bublé thought he knew what love was. After all, he’s sold more than 60 million albums worldwide singing about the subject. But it turns out he had a lot to learn. “Save the Last Dance for Me”, “Crazy Love”, “Always on My Mind”, “The Way You Look Tonight”, “Me and Mrs. Jones “ and “Call Me Irresponsible”. Our group has  Balcony Seats, Section 210 for this performance.  Note: This venue has an elevator to the balcony and has some stairs.

Before the sweet sounds of Michael Bublé fill our hearts, let’s stop at Sweet Baby Ray’s to fill our tummies. Dinner includes: Coleslaw, Cornbread, Soup, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, 1/3 Slab Baby Back Ribs and Beef Brisket. For Dessert, a mini Brownie Sundae will be served. Soda, Coffee and Iced Tea Included.

Johnny Mathis
Rosemont, IL – Saturday, July 27
Concert at the Rosemont Theatre

Enjoy an evening of romance with musical legend Johnny Mathis At every concert, he performs “his holy grail” of hits — “Chances Are,” “The Twelfth of Never,” “Misty,” “It’s Not for Me to Say” — from the days when he held court on Ed Sullivan and headlined the Copa Room at the Las Vegas Sands. Between songs, Mathis is barely more than monosyllabic onstage. As he sees it, “they didn’t pay money to hear me talk.”  It’s 140 minutes of music, covering about 38 tunes. Our group has main floor seating.

Highland Park, IL – Monday, July 29
Lunch at Carson's Ribs and Show at Bennett Gordon Hall

You hear a few notes and immediately know who is singing. She's incredibly musical, a great performer, and marvelous songwriter. She’s been heard around the world as the host/star of the syndicated public radio series “Words and Music,” but for thousands, the most familiar way to enjoy the jazz stylings of Spider Saloff has been through live performances. The Chicago – based jazz vocalist has won accolades around the world for her introspective approach to the genre.

Our late lunch before the show will be at Carson’s Ribs with your entrée choice of: Half Slab of BBQ Ribs, Half BBQ Chicken, BBQ Crusted Pork Chop, Half Greek Chicken or Shrimp DeJonghe. Includes Coffee/Tea/Soda.

Highland Park, IL – Sunday, August 4
Dinner at Bob Chinn's and Show at the Ravinia

During Ringo Starr’s solo career he has released several successful singles including "It Don't Come Easy", "Photograph", "You're Sixteen" and "Back Off Boogaloo." Ringo was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a Beatle in 1988 and inducted for his solo career in 2015.

The Beach Boys first major outing with Brian Wilson in more than two decades, the group will perform music from its earliest surf rock classics to masterpieces like “Wouldn’t It Be Nice” and “God Only Knows” from perhaps the most acclaimed album of all-time, Pet Sounds, to later hits from the Seventies and Eighties including “Kokomo”, to brand new songs recently recorded. Our group has pavilion seats for this performance.

Before we head to Kokomo we will stop at Bob Chinn’s for dinner before the show. You will choose your entrée  from a variety of Seafood, Chicken or Beef choices. Includes Appetizer, Salad, Homemade Garlic Rolls and Dessert. Soda, Lemonade, Hot or Iced Tea and Coffee are also included.

Newsweek cheers “it takes you to a place you never want to leave.” On 9/11 the world stopped. On 9/12 their stories moved us all. Our Group has main floor seating.

The menu includes: Garlic Bread, entrée choice of Fried Shrimp, Fish & Chips, Caesar Salad, Charbroiled Chicken and dessert. Coffee/Iced Tea and Soda are also included.

Chicago, IL – Monday, August 8
Remember the days of poodle skirts and milkshakes?  This luncheon will bring back memories of the 50’s and 60’s.

Known throughout the Chicago/Illinois area as the top oldies/classic rock band. Bagshot Row has long been a favorite at many night spots, festivals and concerts.  Bagshot Row will be playing the very best of 50’s, 60’s Retro Rock with British Invasion Classic such as the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Elvis, Roy Orbison, Beach Boys and so many more others. Just fun music to sing along to!

Today’s menu will include a Fresh Garden Salad, entrée choice of a Blue Plate Special featuring Old Fashioned Meatloaf or Salmon (with Dill Sauce), Green Beans and Sherbet for dessert.  This luncheon will be held at Meridian Banquets, located at 1701 Algonquin Rd. in Rolling Meadows.

A 30-minute seminar will be presented by our sponsor, Village Bank and Trust starting at 10:30am.

Tickets are not sold at the door.  This is a contracted event and non-refundable.  Please notify the Park District of any food restrictions when you register, not the day of the event.

Riverboat Cruise
Starved Rock to Peoria, IL – Tuesday, August 20
Lunch and Entertainment on Spirit of Peoria

Our cruise will start at Starved Rock State Park. After boarding the boat we will have a light snack on the Boiler Deck. Entertainment of Live Piano, Vocal, Guitar/Banjo Music and Professional Riverlore will be throughout the day, on the Boiler Deck. A Lunch Buffet will be available on the Main Deck. As you are enjoying this relaxing excursion, a late afternoon snack will be available on the Boiler Deck with entertainment following. Approximate arrival at Peoria Landing at 5:30 pm. Don’t forget to bring Binoculars, Sunscreen, Camera, Hat and Light Jacket. Dress is casual. Shorts and sandals are appropriate.
