The Arlington Heights Park District, in conjunction with the Palatine Park District, coordinates the Palatine Penguins Boys Youth Lacrosse (PPBYL) travel league for boys in grades 1-8 throughout the area. Teams participate in the Northwest Chicago Youth Lacrosse Federation League (NWCYLF).

The goal of PPBYL is to provide an opportunity for all children to experience the sport of lacrosse, and the league encourages the participation of beginner and experienced players at all age levels. Teams are formed based on player age and ability. The PPBYL strives to help players develop lacrosse skills and teach teamwork and sporting behavior. Players are played equally, without regard to skill.

U9 teams practice 1 night per week. U11-U15 teams practice 2 nights per week. Practices are at Falcon Park, 2195 N. Hicks Road, Palatine.

Each player must have his own stick, goggles, and a mouth guard for all practices and games.
