Arlington Aces Soccer

The Arlington Heights Park District and the Arlington Aces Soccer Club provide the framework for children to learn this exciting and rewarding sport while developing individual skills and learning the importance of teamwork.

Club Organization

The Arlington Aces Soccer Club is a program offered by the Arlington Heights Park District. The ultimate authority, like any other Park program, rests with the Park Board.

Youth Sports Philosophy

The Park District recognizes that competition in and of itself is a part of life and if placed in the proper perspective something that an individual learns from. Competition as viewed by the Park District will encourage the participants to strive to be the best they can be. Winning and losing will be deemphasized whenever possible, with the emphasis placed on participation, learning and enjoyment. In an effort to keep the recreational philosophy and to serve the greatest number of residents, athletic programs will be designed to encourage participation for the beginner and mid-level athlete. Although the Park District may offer traveling programs in certain sports in which the competition intensity increases, the overall focus should still remain on fun and learning. For certain participants their skill level and competitive needs may exceed the capabilities of the Park District program or resources and they may need to seek outside or private clubs and organizations.

Leagues

House League

Aces House Soccer is a recreational league for players grades K-6th. Boys and girls play in separate divisions in 1st through 6th grade and Kindergarten division will be co-ed. Players are placed on teams based out of the park they choose when registering and are allowed one reciprocal friend request. Players may not request coaches or more than one friend and may not make circular friend requests. Practice locations, days, and times are determined AFTER registration closes and are based on the availability of volunteer parent coaches. You will receive your practice and game schedules from your coach after the pre-season coach meeting. The registration deadline is Sunday, August 4th.

Based on registration numbers, we may need to combine grades and or genders. We typically try to keep the same teams from the fall season to the spring season, however same teams will be determined based on registration numbers. Practice and game locations may differ from the Community Center Park you register your child from.

Aces U7 – U10 (birth years 2017-2014)

The Aces U7 through U10 age groups use an Academy model, which provides high-level, structured training to players who demonstrate a passion for the game and a commitment to further developing skills through concentrated training. The Academy program emphasizes individual, skills-based training and small-sided games, designed to provide an inspiring, fun environment that fosters confidence, creativity, and composure.

Through small-sided games, all the players have the opportunity to play together regularly. Team rosters are more fluid than traditional models, and some roster movement may occur between the fall and spring seasons and for tournaments.

Aces U11 – U15 (birth years 2013-2009)

The Aces Youth Development Program (U11 through U14) emphasizes age-appropriate technical skills and tactical decision-making to ensure that players learn new and improve existing skills at every age level. In addition to twice weekly team practices, the club runs a weekly technical training/goalkeeping session: sessions are split by age.

Aces High School U15 – U19 (birth years 2008-2005)

Our Aces High School Program is the pinnacle of our player development pyramid. At these age groups, we aim to provide our players with a higher level of competitive opportunities. After developing our players’ technical and tactical skills throughout the U7-U14 age groups, our goal at the High School age groups is to further develop our team concept of playing and competing. Players at this age group will have the opportunity to play in leagues and tournaments that will challenge them at a very good level.

Programs
