Garden Plots are SOLD OUT

Registration began Monday, March 2,  2026 at 9:00 AM.

The garden season is mid-May through mid-October. You must have an account to register on line.

How To Register

Residents:
Returning gardeners and/or current park district program users will use your same login to register for a plot. If you are a new resident or have never registered for a park district program, you will need to bring proof of residency documents to one of the community centers to establish an account: ARC, Camelot, Pioneer or Administration Center.  Anyone can rent a plot but residents have a reduced rate.  Non-residents can also rent a plot.

Non-Residents:
Can also rent a garden plot but need to have an account established. Call 847.577.3000 and our Guest Services Staff will create one for you over the phone.

Enthusiastic gardeners may rent a garden plot from the Park District. Plots are plowed, staked, and numbered, and they open for cultivation in mid May and close in mid-October. Ample water pumps available- you bring your hose.

IMPORTANT: There are NO GARBAGE CANS at the gardens.    What you bring into your plot, you take home at end of season. This includes tomato cages, wood/plastic/metal fencing, plastic weed barrier, tools, string, hoses, etc. You must leave your plot in the same condition as you found it with the exception of vegetation.  Left over vegetation will be tilled back into the soil. Vines, vegetables, flowers are ok to leave on the ground but not the trellis, strings, metal/wood/plastic posts, “bio-degradable” mesh. etc. “Bio-degradable mesh” is meant to degrade over time- over years.  It cannot be left in the ground after the season.  If you use it, YOU take it out and home when the season is over.  It WILL NOT break down in time for next season’s planting.

• 2026 fees are $35 for residents and $50 for non-residents
