Open Meeting Act, Sect. 7.3

The goal of the Arlington Heights Park District’s compensation program is to assure that the Park District maintains a compensation and benefit program that attracts and retains capable and career-oriented employees while continuing to pay competitive wages and benefits for comparable work in the market place. In January 2011, the Board of Commissioners approved a comprehensive compensation study of all full-time positions. Conducting the compensation study enabled the District to align its compensation philosophy and policies in the most fiscally responsible manner. The Management Association of Illinois (MAI) was selected as the consultant on this project.

Annually the District reviews salary/benefit information that is gathered from the Park District’s own market survey, the annual IPRA survey, and the Management Association of Illinois (MAI) survey which encompasses a variety of public and private sector organizations in Arlington Heights as well as Park Districts within our region.

In compliance with Section 7.3 of the Open Meetings Act, effective January 1, 2012, employers participating in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund must post a physical copy of the compensation package for each employee that exceeds $75,000 per year. This information for employees of the Arlington Heights Park District will be posted in the office of the Superintendent of Human Resources; 410 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, Illinois. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 9:00 am until 4:30 pm.
