Youth Fitness Center Orientations

Youth 11-13yr

Must be accompanied in the Fitness Center at all times by a parent or sibling over the age of 18yr 

Must have a Fit or Plus Pass Membership

 

Parents,

If your child is between the ages of 11-13yr and you both have a Fit Pass or Plus Pass membership you can register to take our Youth Fitness Center Orientation. 

Once you and your child attend an orientation you will be eligible to bring them in the ARC Fitness Center and supervise their workouts.

A parent must be in attendance with their child/children for the duration of the orientation and must provide direct supervision of their child in the fitness center any time they come to workout in ARC Fitness Center.

Steps to take:

  1. Check your ARC Pass Membership type and status - call 847.577-3025
  2. Fill out and submit the Youth Orientation form below 
  3. You will be contacted by our ARC Fitness Coordinator, Tom Supplitt, to set-up your orientation date and time
  4. Check the Preparation list below

Orientation Preparation

  • Arrive on time (if late, may need to reschedule)

  • Parent attends orientation with their child

  • Wear comfortable athletic clothing and shoes

  • Bring a water bottle and towel

  • Allow 60 minutes for the orientation

  • Bring the completed Child PAR-Q from (will be emailed to you)

We are in the process of adding in Youth Orientations that you can register for, please check back for updates by May 29.

Classes are included with Fit, Splash or Plus Pass

Registration for each class is required and you must be a member - CLICK HERE for membership information

Participants and equipment will be spaced out to ensure social distancing

All Fitness & Aqua Fitness Classes require a reservation.

You must have a membership or pay daily fee to use the facility, Click for membership information.

Daily Fees:

Pool: $8 resident / $12 non-resident

Fitness Center: $12 resident / $18 non-resident

Track: $5 resident / $8 non-resident

Open Gym: $5 resident / $10 non-resident

Pickleball: $5 resident / $10 non-resident

Volleyball: $5 resident / $10 non-resident

Fitness and Aqua Fit classes: $10 resident / $10 non-resident

Closed on major Holidays: Easter, July 4, December 25.

Modified facility hours on: Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, December 24, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day. We do anticipate annual maintenance closures for pools and gym floors.

  • Reservations needed
  • Reservations are to save you a spot in the gym, they do not reserve you a hoop or court
  • Reserve a spot for each person in your family
  • Reservations will be for 1 hour 45 minutes
  • Monday: 5:30am – 4:30pm,
    • 4:30 – 9pm (only 2 hoops both will be at 10ft)​​
  • Tuesday: 5:30 – 10am, 3 – 9pm
  • Wednesday: 5:30am – 4:30pm,
    • 4:30 – 9pm (only 2 hoops both will be at 10ft)
  • Thursday: 5:30 – 10am, 3 – 9pm
  • Friday: 5:30am – 8pm
  • Saturday: 7am – 5:00pm
  • Sunday: 7:00 – 11am
    • 7-9am (only 2 hoops, both will be at 10ft)

More and more research has revealed the benefits of exercise on not only a person’s quality of life but also their longevity. Staying healthy and independent is a lifelong job. And with more of us living longer, life itself has definitely become a marathon.

Youth fitness is one of the fastest growing sections of the fitness industry. Youth fitness is an important way to treat and prevent obesity prior to it causing a lifetime of health problems.

Class descriptions:

BASIC STRENGTH TRAINING

Strengthen your muscles while we focus on the three main lifts - Squat, Bench, and Deadlift. Each exercise will be done for a specific muscle group and with proper form.

STRENGTH AND AGILITY

Join us for an intense 45 minutes of speed, agility, and body weight strength training. Class is not sport specific but every drill we do will improve you as an athlete.

YOGA

Students will learn fun poses to improve flexibility, strength, balance, and focus through an engaging and energizing yoga practice. They will also go home with lifelong tools that will teach them how to deepen their breathing and lung capacity, calm their minds, and cope with both internal and external stressors.
