Exciting renovation project at Forest View Racquet and Fitness Club

Visitors may have noticed that the Forest View Racquet and Fitness Club, a facility of the
Arlington Heights Park District, has been undergoing a renovation since early August.

"The interior space remodel will bring a fresh new look that we believe reinforces our Club’s philosophy of being "The Perfect Match for You," said Nancy Alfonso, Club Manager. The aesthetic enhancements will serve up a more inviting and contemporary visitor experience while improving the overall appearance of the facility. Forest View Racquet and Fitness Club is located at 800 E. Falcon Drive.

In addition, the renovation called for the removal of a large, glass block wall near the Pro Shop
area. This will open up the main reception area to create a facility that is not only warm and
inviting, but also functions as a place for members, program participants, players and spectators
to gather before and after activities.

Since the 64,000 sq. foot Forest View Racquet and Fitness Club opened its doors in 1973, there has
been a revolution in the way participants’ value and pursue fitness and tennis goals. This is the
first makeover impacting the look and feel of the common area of the Club since 1997.

"Today’s participants understand the importance of engaging in an active lifestyle and we’re
committed to providing an environment that supports that philosophy. As the District celebrates its
90th Anniversary this year, we hope anyone entering the new Club sees this renovation as just one
more way we are continuing to help them to achieve their tennis and fitness success", ended
Alfonso.

"Addressing the renovation and repair needs of the entire building are important goals of the
overall project," added Alfonso. Last year, we completed a facelift of the exterior of the
building. New landscaping and new main entry light posts not only improved the Club’s ‘curb appeal’
but as of 2014 our facility now also offers free, wireless access thanks to the Arlington Heights
Park Foundation."

Forest View staff is planning to have an open house later in the fall to thank patrons and to hear
what they have to say about the renovation. In the meantime, the Club’s Pro Shop is offering some
great deals on all merchandise. From now until the end of the renovation, Members receive 25% off
and non- members receive 15% off all in-stock inventories of shoes, racquets, and apparel.
