AHPD has once again been recognized for its exceptional budgeting practices. The Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) has presented AHPD with a Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for the 25th consecutive year, honoring the fiscal year beginning May 1, 2026.
In addition to receiving the award, AHPD’s budget received special recognition, which is awarded when all three reviewers give the highest possible score in specific categories.
“This recognition is a testament to the hard work and attention to detail our staff put into developing and managing an effective budget presentation for the District’s,” said Deputy Director Jason Myers. “Maintaining strong financial practices year after year allows us to be good stewards of public resources while continuing to provide high-quality programs, services and facilities for our community.”
The Board of Commissioners would like to express their sincere gratitude to the numerous staff whose hard work, dedication and commitment have contributed to the District’s strong financial position and these prestigious recognitions.
