Arlington Heights Park Foundation Pickleball in the Park

The Arlington Heights Park Foundation invites you to play in its Annual Pickleball Tournament on Sunday, May 19 at Dryden Park. The fee is $100 per team. Proceeds will benefit a fully accessible playground for people of all abilities.

Tournament Details:

  • Beginner (2.0-2.9), Intermediate 3.0, Intermediate 3.5 and Advanced Divisions (4.0+)
  • Teams of 2 (any combination). Players must be 16+
  • Round Robin Tournament Format. 5 Game Guaranteed.
  • Warm-Ups Begin 30 Minutes Before Your Division Starts with a Kickoff Meeting 15 Minutes Before
  • Division Winners Awards

Tournament Schedule:

4.0’s & 3.5’s

  • Check-In: 8AM
  • Kick-Off Meeting: 8:20AM
  • Start: 8:30AM

Warm-ups will be available at 7:30AM.

3.0’s & 2.5’s

  • Check-In: 10:15AM
  • Kick-Off Meeting: 10:30AM
  • Start: Between 10:45-11AM

Warm-ups may be available as early as 10AM but you’ll be guaranteed warm-up time before the start.

Not sure which division you should register for? Learn more on each skill level below!

  • 2.0 to 2.5 players have limited experience, can sustain a short rally with players of equal ability and basic ability to keep score.
  • 3.0 players are well versed in all the shots, scoring and basic doubles strategy. Players can execute all shots with some success and some inconsistency.
  • 3.5 players can execute all the shots with consistency and directional control. Ball spin and low shot trajectories can still be inconsistent.
  • Level 4.0+ players are considered advanced. Game is played at the non-volley zone. Communicates and moves well with a partner. Understands strategy and can adjust style of play and game play according to the opponents strengths and weaknesses and court position. Limited number of unforced errors.
