Did you know…both recycling and victory gardens were popular ways people supported the war effort in the 1940’s?

Pumpkins are 90% water, which makes them bad for landfills but great for soil and gardens! Bring your post-Halloween jack-o-lanterns, gourds, and pumpkins to Frontier Park on Saturday, November 7, from 9AM-12PM, and help the Park District’s EnviroGroup smash and pitch them into compostable material.
