July 17: Due to the current air quality and out of an abundance of caution, outdoor programming is cancelled through 4PM. All outdoor pools, tennis clubs and golf facilities are closed. Forest View is open for fitness and racquetball. An additional update will be provided at 3PM for the remainder of the day.

Centennial Park

The demolition work at Centennial Playground has begun, marking the start of improvements as part of the OSLAD project. Additional OSLAD-funded work will follow with construction expected to continue through the end of fall.


Nature preserve and park with a playground, four tennis courts and three ball diamonds. The tennis courts are CLOSED during the winter season and re-open in spring. Nature preserve is prairie-like setting with a wooden walkway and an observation area.

Park

Centennial park has an open scenic area with a walk/bike path and a parking lot.

Ball Field

There are four tennis courts, open spring through fall, and three ball fields.

The path including the scenic natural area over the pond is .73 of a mile from the entrance off Eaton Dr. around the ball fields, across the parking lot, into the natural area and pond and then out to Buffalo Grove Rd. The park is adjacent to Riley school.
