The fountain startup is the second Saturday in April and the shutdown is the Friday before Halloween.
Seasonal concerts and special events are a regular occurrence at this park. North School Park was purchased in 1988 by the Park District and Village of Arlington Heights. Once owned by Village founder, Asa Dunton, the site was designated to remain open space for the Village children. Developed as a focal point for the downtown business district, this site boasts such amenities as a display fountain, accessible playground, brick walkways with seating and lighting, unique landscaping and a performance amphitheater.
Playground
North School Park has an accessible playground for children of all ages.
Special Use
The park has a performance ampitheater used for events and small wedding ceremonies.
Bench-lined brick walkways with beautiful ornamental trees radiate from the show piece central fountain. The fountain makes a beautiful background for family photos, prom photos and wedding photos.
